Need For Things gathers donations of new or gently used furniture. Donations are picked up and delivered to storage on the first and fourth Fridays of the month.
Clients have the option, by appointment only, to pick up the furniture from storage or pay a $35.00 delivery fee (delivery only to the main door, to ensure safety of client and program).
Make housing transitions easier for individuals and families—without them have to wonder “Whats next?!”
NFT helps people who are transitioning from one place to the next, or just to a new place and need the basics to make a house a home.
Finding housing these days is hard enough but, what makes it even harder… no furniture.
“I am so stressed. I just used all my money to move in… Now what do I do?”

How it works
Client data is collected: copy of I.D., proof of
residence (current piece of mail within 30 days of
pickup, or lease, also within 30 days). Emergency
crises are an exception. Comment/survey
cards for feedback are given to the client and must
be returned before the next furniture pickup/
delivery (to keep up with inventory). The
survey asks the following: Did NFT fully furnish
your home? Was this furniture program helpful
for you and your family? Would you refer us to a
friend in a crisis?
